Gate Guide

A step-by-step guide from signup to Coperral linking.

1. New signup

The first step: sign up with the Coperral code to activate payback.

1Tap the 'Signup link' on the Coperral Gate page and the referral code is applied automatically.
2Create an account with your email or phone number.
3Set a password and two-factor authentication (2FA).
4After signup, confirm that the Coperral code was applied.
Korean users can sign up and use Gate (global exchange with Korean language support). Sign up with email + password and separately set a fund password for withdrawals. You can browse right after signup, but enabling actual deposits/withdrawals/trading requires KYC (see the KYC note below). Direct Korean won trading is not supported, so you deposit by sending coins from a domestic exchange.

2. KYC verification

Complete the exchange's identity verification to enable withdrawals and settlement.

1Prepare a government ID (passport or driver's license).
2In the Gate app/web, go to Account > Verification (KYC).
3Follow the prompts to capture and submit your ID and a facial verification.
4Approval usually takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.
KYC is tiered. KYC-1 (personal info + ID/ID number): once complete, ~20,000 USDT 24-hour withdrawal limit. KYC-2 (selfie + proof of address: utility bill/bank statement/card statement within 3 months): limit raised to ~80,000 USDT, with P2P and fiat deposits/withdrawals enabled. Koreans can choose among resident registration card, driver's license, or passport. Deposits/withdrawals and normal trading effectively require KYC. Deposits of 1M KRW or more trigger the Travel Rule, so the English name/date of birth registered at the domestic exchange must match your Gate KYC info. (Limit figures may vary by policy/region; check the official guidance at signup time.)

3. Find and link your UID

Register your exchange UID with Coperral to start earning payback.

1App: Log in to the Gate (gate.io) app > tap the profile avatar (icon) at the top left > the number shown at the top of the profile screen is your UID (e.g., 1234567). Long-press the number and 'Copy.'
2Web: Log in to gate.com/gate.io > click the avatar icon at the top right > your UID appears on the first line of 'Personal Information Overview.' Or check it at the top right of My Account (www.gate.com/myaccount).
3Note: The UID is your unique member identifier, used for payback linking and support inquiries. Menu names/positions may vary by app/web version.

4. REF transfer (existing accounts)

Even if you already have an account, you may be able to switch your referral to Coperral.

1On Gate.io, a referrer (referral) code can only be entered at signup and cannot be retroactively applied or changed on an already-created account (official policy). In other words, you cannot change an existing account's referrer to the Coperral code.
2To receive Coperral payback, an existing-account holder must create a new account with a new email and enter via the Coperral referral link/code at signup. Only one referral code applies per account, and no reward is paid if applied in duplicate.
3When depositing to a new account, transfers of 1M KRW or more from Korean exchanges (Upbit=VerifyVASP, Bithumb/Coinone/Korbit=CODE) trigger the Travel Rule, and the English name and date of birth registered at the domestic exchange must exactly match your Gate KYC info for the withdrawal to process. When creating the new account, set your KYC English name the same as at your domestic exchange.
4For exceptions/special circumstances, contact Gate support (retroactive changes are not allowed as a matter of policy).
Exchanges subject to the Travel Rule may have extra steps such as identity verification and withdrawal limits.

This guide is based on each exchange's official help center and public materials, but exchange app/web UIs and policies change frequently. If menu names or locations differ, follow the exchange's customer support or the latest in-app screens.
