OKX Guide

A step-by-step guide from signup to Coperral linking.

1. New signup

The first step: sign up with the Coperral code to activate payback.

1Tap the 'Signup link' on the Coperral OKX page and the referral code is applied automatically.
2Create an account with your email or phone number.
3Set a password and two-factor authentication (2FA).
4After signup, confirm that the Coperral code was applied.
You can sign up and use OKX in Korea, but Korean won (KRW) trading is not supported; you deposit and trade in crypto such as USDT. You can sign up with email/phone, but to actually deposit, trade, or withdraw, KYC (identity verification) is effectively required. A referral code can only be entered on the signup screen, so when signing up via the Coperral code/link, be sure to apply it at the signup step.

2. KYC verification

Complete the exchange's identity verification to enable withdrawals and settlement.

1Prepare a government ID (passport or driver's license).
2In the OKX app/web, go to Account > Verification (KYC).
3Follow the prompts to capture and submit your ID and a facial verification.
4Approval usually takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.
KYC is usually a 3-tier structure (Level 1 basic identity check > Level 2 address proof + facial (liveness) verification > Level 3 institutional/VIP). Daily withdrawal limits grow as you move up tiers (the per-level limit values vary by region/time, so go by the figures shown in the app). Trading, deposits, and withdrawals require at least basic verification. KYC approval is usually within a few minutes to 30 minutes. Korean users can use most features once KYC is complete, but there is no KRW market.

3. Find and link your UID

Register your exchange UID with Coperral to start earning payback.

1App: Tap the menu (or profile icon) at the top left > open [Account settings] or [Profile] at the top > your UID number is shown in the profile area of the User Center screen, with a copy button next to it.
2Web: After logging in, hover over the profile icon at the top right and the dropdown shows your UID. To copy it, go to [Profile] > [Personal info] and use the copy button next to the User ID field.
3The UID is usually an 8-9 digit number. Enter this number as-is when linking your UID to Coperral.
4Note: Menu names may vary by app/web version and language setting.

4. REF transfer (existing accounts)

Even if you already have an account, you may be able to switch your referral to Coperral.

1Per OKX's official policy, the referrer/affiliate relationship can only be set 'at account creation (signup)'; you cannot add or change a referral code after signup or after identity verification. In other words, changing an existing account's referrer to Coperral is not possible in principle.
2Therefore, to receive Coperral payback, the reliable method is to create a brand-new OKX account via the Coperral referral code/link.
3Some reference sites suggest that 'accounts created without a referrer' can, under specific conditions (account older than 90 days, trading volume below a certain level in the last 90 days, etc.), have one added via a support request, but this is not confirmed by the official FAQ and is a case-by-case matter. If you do try, contact OKX support, but assume it may not work and prefer creating a new account.
4Travel Rule caution: When sending coins from a Korean exchange (Upbit/Bithumb, etc.) to OKX, the Travel Rule applies. From 2026, Korea effectively applies a zero-threshold Travel Rule to all amounts, so transfers are often only allowed to a verified wallet in your own name. Check each exchange's whitelist/verification procedures before withdrawing.
Exchanges subject to the Travel Rule may have extra steps such as identity verification and withdrawal limits.

This guide is based on each exchange's official help center and public materials, but exchange app/web UIs and policies change frequently. If menu names or locations differ, follow the exchange's customer support or the latest in-app screens.
